What should I wear to ONEIGHTY?

We recommend clothes (Highly recommended)
We have teens from all walks of life.....skaters, to preps, to jocks, to goths.
We want you to feel at home here. Wear whatever you want.....but please be modest in your dress.

How do I get involved?

That is a great question. There are many things to get involved in from serving at the soup kitchen, to children's ministries, to the teen praise band, to teen leadership, to getting involved in a small group. Where exactly does ONEIGHTY meet?

If you have never been here before, we meet in the basement of the church.you can enter through the lower parking lot on the right hand side of the building. This is the entrance to the Teen Room.

What does a typical ONEIGHTY JUNIOR night look like?

Most nights are a little different but this is usually how they roll out:

6:00 - 6:20 - Hang out time in the Teen Room (Food and drinks usually provided)

6:20 - 6:45 - Game time upstairs in the gymnasium (Kickball, volleyball, dodgeball, etc. In the summer time we will go outside and get wet and have some fun in the fields at South Portland High School)

6:45 - 7:15 - This is the lesson time. Usually the lesson time involves spontaneous acting, object lessons, candy prizes, and working in small groups to discuss the topic from scripture we are working on that week. The lesson time is fun and interactive.

What does a typical ONEIGHTY SENIOR night look like?

Most nights are a little different but this is how they usually go:

5:27 - 6:00 - Hang out in the Teen Room (Food and Drinks are usually provided)

6:00 - 6:25 - Game time (We will head up to the gymnasium or outside in the summer to play a group game from volleball, to whiffle ball, to flag football, to backetball, to dodgeball......if you can't tell, we usually use a ball of some sort :)

6:30 - 7:30 - Youth Worship Service (We have a Teen Praise Band that will lead us in worship and Pastor Justin will give a message that is relenvant and applicable to daily life)

What types of things to do are there in the Teen Room?

We have:

- Guitar Hero
- DDR (Dance Dance Revolution.....Pastor Justin will take anyone on, one on one)
- Projection Screen TV with Music Videos playing
- Pool table
- Ping Pong
- Foosball
- Air Hockey
- eat snacks provided
- drink soda (soda machine costs 75 cents)
- Just hang out on the futons and get to know everyone.
